On July 2nd we celebrate curacao's flag day,

why don't we celebrate in style while representing our flag.

even though we are in hard times we can still celebrate and represent our flag.

Here are my top outfit ideas you can wear on this day.

1. Our traditional wear

On this day you can wear anything that you think best represent our flag and our land

these are a few of the traditional wears that you can dress on this day.

2. Colors that represent our flag

The color blue in our flag represents the sky and the sea.

The color yellow represents the sun.

Curacao is known to be summer all year round.

Which is pretty obvious why the sun is represented in the flag.

The 2 white stars stand for Curacao and Klein Curacao.

You can choose either one or multiple colors to celebrate and represent on this day.

Adding something extra that fits best with your personality while still representing our flag.

3.Curacao Shirts

These are simple and basic shirts that you can buy in Punda and style them to fit best with your personality!

On this Holiday we should remember to celebrate and honor our land/flag.

Happy flag day and God bless you :).

This year was my first year of college and I was excited, but to be honest it’s not what I expected.

High school and college are totally different.

Living on an island (Curacao), it's already a different upbringing then living on a land with multiple states and having to sometimes leave home for college.

But here are some tips you must know before starting college.

Tip #1 Don’t have any expectations

Going to a new school it’s easy to assume that it will be the same as the last.

Especially class wise like your classmates.

In my experience, it was the total opposite of my former school. But having a clear mind and thinking like this is actually a new phase in your life.

It gives you a smooth beginning.

Compare to having expectations and having that disappointing feeling.

Tip #2 learn how to be self-supporting

Especially in college being independent in the sense of learning Is important.

cause no one will ask you if you did your homework or if you are finishing the assignment you have to deliver tomorrow.

Some teachers will but they won’t urge you to do so.

In other words, imagine there is a water stream leading to the waterfall pool.

If you want to reach the pool in a certain time frame you must go with the flows of the water stream and that requires concentration, and organization the stream won't stop for you.

And that leads to my last Tip.

Tip #3 PLANNING IS ESSENTIAL

I don’t actually have a problem with planning.

I do it all the time in my planner, my agenda, or even on my laptop.

The only problem I had was actually following the planning!! haha.

And I know I’m not the only one.

Especially in college its necessary because This will help you to be stress-free.

These schools can definitely get overwhelming from time to time by the amount of stuff you need to get done.

But working on time takes some of the pressure off.

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.

Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Tip #4 Make Friends

Networking, I'm not saying that making friends is the nr 1 focus but take the new opportunity to create a helpful network.

Engage more with other classmates and work together to reach the final.

Create Profesional relationships with teachers to better your opportunities later on in your career.

Overall enjoy the good times, the new experiences everything is a learning experience.

Curacao is a MUST visit Island with friendly people, beautiful beaches, amazing nightlife, and for people like me who love photography its definitely one of the ideal places. And to be honest, if I didn’t live here I would definitely come to visit cause the place is so photogenic,

I love it!!

Here my TOP 9 places you must visit for BOMB photographs at Curacao

1 Beaches

Any beach you visit at curacao is unique in their own way with great spots for taking pictures. Curacao has a variety of beaches, Beaches such as Cas abou, Kenepa beaches, Kokomo beach, Santu pretu, mambo beach, and the list goes on.

Every one of them is unique and beautiful. When visiting Curacao beach pictures can’t be avoided!

I mean turquoise blue waters, beautiful mountains, perfect waves plus with a beautiful person in the middle, (oh yea that’s you :)) to me that’s a perfect picture right there.

@jh.carolina @Santu pretu

2 Otrabanda and Punda.

If it's not the street arts, it is the buildings, the Curacao & Dushi signs, or the bridges everything is so colorful and photo-ready.

To this day me personally I still can't finish observing all the amazing street artworks.

And these are for sure is Instagram worthy.

Tops spots in the city to take pictures;

- "Pietermaai District is located in the lively center of Willemstad, never more than a few steps away from the ocean. Pietermaai is perhaps best known for its historical-cultural value. It’s on UNESCO’s ‘World heritage list’ and by now also the most popular neighborhood on the island!"

Pietermaai also has beautiful colorful buildings and amazing wall arts for photos.

-The Curacao & Dushi signs

- Curacao has a bridge "Queen Emma bridge" connecting the Punda and Otrobanda quarters of the capital city, Willemstad. Standing there you will get a beautiful front view of the beautiful colorful Punda buildings. That’s definitely a signature place to take pictures at Curacao!

3 The street artworks

Walking in Punda at any corner you can find amazing arts. Crossing the pontoon bridge to Otrobranda at “Ser’I Otrabanda” is where you will find some phenomenal wall arts that our amazing talented people have painted. Just ask for them to take you at ‘KAYA KAYA streets.

4 Renaissance mall Curacao/ Rifford.

The Renaissance mall has a beautiful view. I don't know how else to describe it other than it is just an amazing spot for photography besides, it gives an amazing view of the city.

Plus the mall on its own has amazing features just ready to be photographed.

5 The Hotels

Other than the amazing places to take pictures at Curacao I have already told you about HOTELS are beautiful as well.

Hotels such as Santa Barbara beach resort, Renaissance hotel, Marriott beach resort, ACOYA curacao resort, Baoase luxury resort, saint Tropez Ocean club& Boutique Hotel, and the list goes on.

Each one of these hotels stands out on their own and is outstandingly beautiful and well taken care of.

6 A drive to Banda’Bou

The west side of Curacao can bring many adventures and many breathtaking locations you will only find at Curacao.

Driving to the west point of the island you encounter some greats spots for amazing photographs.

-Williwood

-Soto

- Tera kòra

-Riding through Banda'bou

7 Christoffelberg

the Christoffelberg is definitely a challenge but it’s worth it.

Hiking and getting a good stretch plus getting a great view as a reward it's for sure an instaworthy moment.

Everything is so peaceful and beautiful up there.

Check out IG location ‘ Christoffelberg ‘ for more amazing pictures of all the hikers.

8 Curacao historic sites

"When driving in Curaçao you will probably notice all the colorful houses. Some of them are considered Landhuizen, which means Mansions. Landhuizen were built in the 18th and 19th centuries".

- Visit this site for more information about Curacao’s Landhuizen

Here are some historical sites that I think are amazing for taking pictures

- Landhuis Bloemhof

-Fort Beekenburg

-Fort Nassau

- Landhuis Jan Kok

9 Klein Curacao

"Curaçao's longest and whitest beach is on Klein Curaçao, an uninhabited island eight miles off the southeast coast".

But none the less Klein Curacao is just captivating its a must-visit place when visiting Curacao, it's beautiful and just perfect for pictures.
